Structurally, the Tree of Life consists of twenty-two lines (paths), corresponding to the twenty-two letters of the Hebrew alphabet, and ten circles (sephiroth), corresponding to the ten simple numerals. This structure, sometimes known as 'the thirty-two paths', exists in four different frequencies, or phases. Over the past several centuries this system has been concretized in the form of the tarot.

The tarot deck consists of seventy-eight cards. There are twenty-two major cards, named after the letters of the Hebrew alphabet. There are ten numbered cards. There are four 'court cards', four suits. A simple and powerful interlocking system of four, ten, and twenty-two. The tarot has many uses, and it can be argued that its linkage with the Kabbala is recent (hundreds instead of thousands of years), but the correspondence now is undeniable. Through these cards one can work directly with the structural energies of the Otz Chayim.
